We had the absolute pleasure of joining Mathias on the Reykjavik Folklore Tour, and he was fantastic from start to finish. Our group of 23 – a lively mix of giggly Guides and their leaders – was quite a handful, but Mathias handled us with humour, patience, and genuine enthusiasm.

What could have been "just" a 1.5-hour walk turned into a fascinating and fun journey through Icelandic folklore, history, and hidden corners of the city that we hadn't come across during our previous days in Reykjavik. The stories were engaging, the pacing was perfect, and Mathias was incredibly knowledgeable – answering all the girls’ (many!) questions with warmth and insight.

We left the tour feeling like we’d discovered a whole new side of the city – and with a few elf stories to take home too! Highly recommend this tour, and if you’re lucky enough to get Mathias as your guide, you’re in for a treat.

From my first email to Zofia, to our last airport drop off, the tour couldn't have gone any better! Our guide Magnus was there upon arriving at the airport in Keflavik, and throughout the entire tour. He was extremely professional, friendly, and made us feel like part of his family! He went above and beyond each day, and his passion for his country was palpable!

Our driver Sven was also great, as he drove us safely from point A to point B each and every day. He was very courteous, and greeted everyone getting onto the bus. The tours they prepared for us were all fantastic, as the pace and length of time at each activity was perfect! Each restaurant they picked was also awesome, with great food and service provided at each stop.

As a Tour Operator myself, I'm always very critical of services provided by others in our industry. I truly understand what it takes to make a Tour very successful, and these guys absolutely delivered at each turn! I highly recommend using their services as each detail was handled to perfection! Thank you Zofia, Magnus, and Sven for making us feel special in your beautiful country!

I had an awesome time on the cat walking tour around Reykjavik! My guide was fabulous, he pointed out all the cats around town and told us their stories. He also added a lot of other information about the city and certain local facts. We had a snack and drink at the cat cafe and shared photos of our cats amongst the group. Highly recommend!

Our group had such a great time on the tour with our guide Mathias. Our ages ranged from 9-55 years and everyone had fun. The story telling was engaging and it was so interesting to learn about Iceland's folklore while also walking around some of Reykjavik. I particularly enjoyed the cemetery. It was very beautiful with all its trees.

I came in a day early to Iceland and took the tour. My family members came in the next day and I was able to entertain them with stories. I learned from the store for the next few days. Cemeteries ghost of rocks, cats stories of cats what’s not to love a very fun tour. Matthias is a low-key guide, keeping things on pace with keeping it very friendly and informative and humorous. He very generously answered the questions And show us some fun, cool stuff would definitely recommend.

Bjarni was an incredible host who is clearly very knowledgeable about Reykjavik and Icelandic culture. He is also hilarious! From the fabulous forest to the beautiful babbling brooks, the folklore walking tour was the perfect mix of magic and history to compliment our vacation. Strongly recommend for anyone looking to learn a little bit while getting their steps in.

We went on the Reykjavik Folklore Walking Tour with Mathias today. He was informative and creative as he spun tales about the hidden people, elves and trolls weaving in local history as well. Definitely recommend!
