This was one of the best guesthouses we stayed at in Iceland. The house and the rooms (cozy beds) are decorated in a very nice style, the kitchen contains all kitchenware needed, the breakfast is also very good and the natural hot tub and the pool are a blast! The host family is highly welcomming. We will come back next time we are in Iceland!

Close to Hevrir, Myvatn, and Godafoss.
The host was sociable and nice.
The room was huge and clean.
The kitchen has everything you need, even some seasoning and sauces.
Also there are warm pool and natural hot bath in the back yard. So beautiful
I had great time with the host and the other guests.
Highly recommend!

Wir hatten zwei schöne Nächte hier.
Der Gastgeber ist richtig freundlich, immer verfügbar und hilfsbereit. Gute Küche mit vielen Gewürzen. Zimmer sind schon recht alt, stört beim Schlafen aber nicht. 😉
Vor Ort ist ein Pool und die Braune Lagune anzutreffen, welche der Myvatn-Lagune im nichts nachsteht.
Fazit: Empfehlenswert!

Wow! Oli is a welcoming host and the property is sweet, natural and lovely. Tucked at the end of the road and adorned with terns the home features a hot spring in the backyard with a true hot pot, over 100 F. We took a hike up through the backyard to the alpine meadow where I sketched and admired. The private outdoor pool was amazing! A soothing temperature to swim a few short laps. I look forward to returning.

Guesthouse bella e pulita, camera ampia, buona colazione. L'accoglienza e la gentilezza del proprietario sono state tra le migliori ricevute. Si entra veramente nella casa di una bella famiglia. L'atmosfera è molto piacevole. |La piscina calda e dell'hot pot privato sono assolutamente da provare.|È stato un soggiorno molto bello e la posizione è ottima per chi viaggia per l'isola, è in un luogo da cui sicuramente passerete, a metà strada tra molti punti d'interesse. |Vivamente consigliato.

Received such a warm welcome from Hanna when I arrived. Beautiful large room with the biggest bed in all of Iceland! Lovely living room to hang out in and converse with other guests and Hanna. Haraldur even helped to secure a plastic thingie under my car that protects the undercarriage. Breakfast was delicious. Early morning in the garden was delightful with a short hike up to follow the geothermal spring. Highly recommended!

Highly reommended! Arriving in Trod North is like coming home and staying with good friends. The awesome house and propoerty with the natural hot pot (the "Brown Lagoon", our favorite), the fish pond and the swimming pool make you relax and forget the world. We had a great Icelandic dinner and a wonderful breakfast, both prepared by Hanna with ingredients from her family's farm. We loved to chat with Haraldur and Hanna and sat together until late night in a very warm and cosy atmosphere. And - not to forget - had much fun with the cute dog Askur. We came as guests and left as friends.

Guest house isolata, situata in fondo a una strada senza sfondo. Il proprietario si è mostrato fin da subito una persona gentile e cordiale e ci ha fatto fare il giro dell'albergo, ci ha mostrato la piscina con acqua termale, la nostra camera, la sala della colazione, la cucina e il bagno in comune. La camera è grande e spaziosa con un comodo letto, però alcune prese non funzionavano, il phon del bagno andava pianissimo e 4 camere doppie con un bagno in comune è effettivamente troppo poco. Per il resto, la colazione è buona e abbastanza varia e la piscina con il laghetto adiacente è molto molto carina e rilassante.
