Located on the main road in Selfoss, so some street traffic noise was experienced. Bed was old and not comfy; pillows were thin. We had a private, 2-person room in the basement. Very small. Had in-room sink, though, so we could wash up and brush teeth in there. The individual shower rooms were nice, and the WCs were in good condition. Bed linens provided for free as well as towels (which is unusual for a hostel). There is a washer/dryer on site. Huge kitchen/dining area if you want to prep your own food. You must take your outdoor shoes off in the small front entryway. It appears that some tour companies use this place as one of their overnight stays, so there was a rush of people in the evening then again early morning. You can easily walk to the food hall or other local restaurants. Overall, neither the best nor worst hostel I've stayed at.

Good place to stay in the centre of Selfoss, it’s self check-in but can easily contact the team via Booking.com (I left my headphones and they were quick to respond confirming they still had them and put it in a safe place to collect)

Big kitchen and clean throughout the hostel - no complaints !

Correct hostel with self check-in.
Bedrooms are correct but a bit small.

I really liked the vibe and staff of this hostel. They give you free coffee tea and chocolate milk (and chocolate!!). Super new and clean kitchens and bathrooms. Also, free menstrual pads. The only problem for me was that the room windows were very drafty, which works on my throat and gave me a cold. This is also something personal though as im sensitive to it, should be only a minor problem for others. The walls are also thin and you can hear others very well, the signs of 8 to 10 quiet are hard to guarantee

Overall a good experience, definitely worth the money you get a lot in return but there are some flaws still

What a brilliant hostel. It was so warm and welcoming. Really enjoyed it here. The vibe was perfect. Good location with shops and some bars nearby. Some guests must not have seen the 10pm quiet time signs.

Not a good place to stay in Iceland. Very old and abandoned hostel. The rooms smell musky.

Beds are comfortable though. And kitchen is available, but needs some repairs. Fire alarm also a bit too sensitive.

Pésimo hostal en general que no merece el precio que ha pagado. La cocina estaba muy sucia con pocos cubiertos y vasos y los electrodomésticos se estropean y no se reparan. Los baños y las duchas estaban muy sucias. Mucho ruido en la planta superior hasta altas horas de la madrugada ya que siempre lo alquilan a niños, que disparan la alarma de incendios de vez en cuando. Las mini toallas para ducharse los inquilinos son enanas.
