Well, that was absolutely awesome.🤍

It starts with a beautiful and clean restaurant. Staff great and helpful and advised with selection. But the best is yet to come.

The food is absolutely amazing and fresh. The head chef Filip knows what he's doing very well and stopped by in person to chat.

The fish soup was excellent, the appetizer with shrimps was great, everything was fresh and the prices were absolutely adequate to the quality. This was one of the best meals of my life. Huge thanks!

PS the toilets were polished perfectly and this is how I imagine a high level restaurant

Abbiamo mangiato benissimo. I piatti sono raffinati ma saporiti, veramente eccezionali (abbiamo mangiato le pan di pesce). Consigliatissimo. Inoltre abbiamo speso abbastanza poco (ma abbiamo bevuto acqua ) e le porzioni erano veramente abbondanti e soddisfacenti.
Purtroppo abbiamo aspettato piú di un’ora, ma il cameriere (gentilissimo) ci ha avvisato subito che il servizio sarebbe stato lento perchè il locale era pieno e c’era una sola persona in cucina. Probabilmente è stata un’eccezione, ma, essendoci stata solo una volta, non posso confermare se in generale il servizio è piú veloce.
In ogni caso vale la pena aspettare, è davvero buonissimo e sembra di essere in un ristorante di alta cucina, ma si spende poco.

Die Atmosphäre und die Mitarbeiter sind wirklich super. Grundsätzlich sind die Preise für Island angemessen, finden wir. Auch die optische Präsentation des Tisches und das Essens war sehr gut.
Die Vorspeisen haben uns beide sehr gut geschmeckt.
Die Hauptspeisen haben leider nicht unseren Geschmack getroffen.
Das Fischfilet war zwar geschmacklich gut und auch von der Konsistenz, die Sauce hat uns allerdings gar nicht geschmeckt. Bei dem anderen Gericht war der Fisch in Parmesan frittiert, dadurch war er wirklich sehr fettig… in der Pfanne stand circa 1 cm Butter. Auch das hat unseren Geschmack überhaupt nicht getroffen, da es einfach überhaupt nur nach Fett geschmeckt hat.
Zum Abschluss hatten wir beide noch Bauchschmerzen in der Nacht und am nächsten Tag. Vielleicht hatten wir jetzt nur einfach einmal Pech, war trotzdem sehr schade.

Seafood restaurant but have lambs fillets. Seafood pasta, fish stew all sold out.
Ordered seafood soup and panfried fish. All are expensive for our standard.
The restaurant is very nicely decorated like ships. The toilet is clean with accessories. The waitress is polite and friendly.
The service was slow. We waited for 40min

Exceptionally good food there. The chef masterfully crafted an allergy free dish for my wife and son(no dairy, eggs and nuts) and gave us the recipe to go 🥰
We both got the char, I had normal from the menu and the included photo is from my wifes dish.

Clean, quiet, warm, and cozy restaurant. We tried the fermented shark—a unique flavor but a must-try for an authentic Icelandic experience. For main courses, we had fish stew and cod tongue, both with strong and traditional flavors. The espresso was surprisingly as good as the Italian one. Friendly staff and fair prices. A place worth visiting if you're in Selfoss!

Incredible seafood restaurant. Nestled in Miðbær Selfoss is this gem of a restaurant that showcases the jewels of the land and sea. The staff were amazing and service was fantastic. The arctic char was incredible, and the presentation of the dishes in pans is so unique. The finale to the incredible meal was a fantastic rhubarb-apple pie. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area!
