We had the best horse riding experience. Our guides Catherine and Vera were super friendly and ensured we were safe through the riding. We saw many seals in the ride along the beach. Though the approach road was rough the horse farm and the riding made up for it. A hidden gem!

Hmmmm…. Cant say it was a great experience for us - loooong drive on a gravel road, very awkward accommodation, no shop in approx 30 km and nothing provided on site (i.e. tea bags, milk). The owners were kind enough to let us use a room with normal beds vs bunk beds, but I would strongly recommend checking if this is what you are looking for before booking. We did not fully check it, so felt like we wasted a lot of time getting there and getting out and did not enjoy the place itself.

We stayed one night at the hostel and my friend and I loved it. It was clearly mentioned that it‘s quite far away from the Ring Road (1) and that was what made the experience so lovely. The owner, Elisabet, is very friendly and we were also offered to use the wifi in her house. The hostel is quite basic but it has nice clean rooms, a fully equipped kitchen and shared-bathrooms. The only thing I have to mention is that the water pressure in the showers could be better. We also booked a 2hrs horse riding tour, which was amazing! Very competent and friendly guides. Even without any experience in horse riding you‘ll definitely enjoy this tour in this remote and lovely area.

Sauber und funktional in einer traumhaften Lage. Sehr gute Matratzen. Gut ausgestattete Küche! Ich hatte das Glück mit einer sehr netten Familie dort die Räumlichkeiten geteilt zu haben. Wer abschalten will ist dort richtig! Man kann Vögel beobachten, Reiten, spazieren gehen.

We have not spent the night in the hostel. The way to the hotel is a wild ride for itself. You should plan a little more time for the outward journey than Google suggests, because you can not go too fast in certain places.

We were in this place for horse riding. We booked a small tour to observe animals also if possible. The weather itself was great for the ride but unfortunately we could not see any animals. You have to be lucky. But it was not bad.

We were only 3 people which was very great and were accompanied by 2 ladies and have looked for us. Both were German which has simplified the communication of course very much. They were all very nice, friendly and could also tell about the landscape some, which I appreciate very much.

You do not have to be experienced in horseback riding, it is also suitable for beginners and the animals are very well trained. The equipment you get like the helmet e.g. The instructions etc. are all good.

Trotz Regen und Wind bei nicht mal fünf Grad ein einmaliges und unvergessliches Erlebnis! Ein unfassbar liebes Team, die zu jedem Zeitpunkt sicherstellten, dass wir uns wohlfühlen. Zuckersüße Ponys, Hunde und sogar Lämmchen… was will man mehr?

Ci siamo andati solo mezza giornata per la gita a cavallo al fiume dove di solito riposano le foche. Il tempo non ci ha assistito: tanta nebbia, ma questo non è colpa dei proprietari, che sono super disponibili e gentili, ottima organizzazione dell'uscita a cavallo, adatto anche ai bambini.
La strada per raggiungerli è fattibile anche con macchine 2x4, pure se molto lunga e sterrata e mette un po' alla prova la determinazione di chi la percorre per la prima volta, ma ne vale assolutamente la pena.

Wir buchten einen schönen Familien Ausritt zu den Seehunden. Wir wurden von Ferialpraktikantinnen sehr nett begrüßt, welche später uns später auch auf den Ausritt begleiteten. Die Farm ist zwar ziemlich klein, aber sie sorgen sich sehr gut um das Wohlergehen der Gäste und noch viel mehr (und viel wichtiger) um das Wohlergehen der Pferde. Schon zu Beginn wurde mit einem Gespräch über die Pferdekenntnisse von jedem einzelnen darauf geachtet, dass jeder das zu ihm passende Pferd zugeteilt bekommt. Wir waren 2 Personen mit sehr guter reiterlicher Erfahrung und 2 Amateure, alle kamen wir auf unsere Kosten. Die Ausrüstung für Pferd und Reiter die zur Verfügung gestellt wurde war gut gepflegt und passte für jedes Pferd individuell. ||Die Pferde generell waren sehr brav und passten zu jedem gut. Nicht nur für Kinder und Anfänger finden sich gute Pferde, auch fortgeschrittene Reiter kommen in den Genuss eines schönen Ausritts zu den versprochenen Seehunden (von denen es auf Husey etliche gibt) - Galopp am Strand (optional) inklusive, eine wirklich einzigartige Erfahrung.||Auch die Praktikantinnen waren sehr bemüht und behandelten uns gleich sehr freundschaftlich. Ich, als Islandpferdebesitzerin, hätte mich nur über etwas mehr Hintergrundwissen zu Islandpferden gefreut.||||Sehr empfehlenswert!
