Lítil fjölskyldurekin hestaleiga sem aðeins taka á móti litla hópa og sérsniður ferðir eftir óskum hvers og eins. Á bænum eru allskonar dýr, kindur, hundar, og kanínur, auk hestana. Mjög fallegt umhverfi, magnað fjallasýn með útsýni til tveggja jökla, fallegir fossar hjá reiðvegunum. Mjög lítil bílaumferð á þessu svæði.

Highly recommended. Great place to ride lovely Icelandic horses around a beautiful stream and small waterfalls! We really enjoyed talking to Josefina and learning about the horses and the local surroundings... also saw the sheepdog chasing sheep around which was also really fun!

Competitively priced and a cozy environment. If you’re coming from the west then better to take the longer road around the back to the farm (road is much less bumpy)

Unbelievable. One of the greatest experiences in Iceland. Riding horses experiencing "tölt" in the wild.
With instructions from Josefina we managed to do it. We did only one hour riding tour but highly recommended for everyone -even I did enjoy, and I am not at all a horse person. Riding through rivers and stones to a beautiful waterfall.
Josefina speaks great English and likes to tell stories - very pleasant stay.

Absolutely amazing horseback riding experience in Iceland! Josefina and her staff were extremely friendly and patient with us since we didn’t have any experience riding horses. They noticed right away that I was slightly nervous and coached me through the ride. By the end I felt so much more comfortable riding. I was able to fully enjoy the experience and their beautiful property that we toured. It felt as if they were welcoming us into their family. I would highly recommend!!!

A really nice place to go horseback riding. The host was very friendly and helpful and the horses were very calm, perfect for my kids who have not done this before. I highly recommend Giljar.

In a country with so much to see and as beautifully diverse as Iceland, it's hard to nail down a favorite activity or something you would want to do or see again in a future trip. Giljar Horses and Handcraft hits both marks.

Josefina was incredibly friendly and informative about the horses, the local culture, and her land. She was the perfect host and guide. We had a wonderful time riding along a river with waterfalls infront of the Ok glacier. Can not recommend highly enough.

A fantastic first horseback experience for our kid (and myself). He chatted happily with the owner Josefina through a 1 hour tour in the lovely surroundings, that Josefina was able to arrange for our family of three on two hours notice. We were accompanied by lambs and the kindest border collie, Nemo. I also recommend asking to see Josefina's beautiful paintings made with self-made paints.

There's best horse riding in Iceland! Cheap and nice animals. Dogs, Rabbits, Sheeps, and Horses of course. Awesome ride to waterfall.
