Walked into Iðunn today for the first time in Akureyri and was pretty excited. Out of the eateries my buddy and I decided on tacos. So we sat up at the bar.....everything that happened after that was awkward. The servers were just looking at us, and I told them we were ready to order, and they kept looking.......finally the cook took our order. We were given the food by the other "server /cook"......said thank you.....she never replied at all she just put the food infront of us. The food was edible, but that was about all. The gambas taco was ok. The fish taco had hardly any fish....and the vegan one ......well if I knew what a wet sock tasted like, I might describe it as so. They never asked us if we liked it or anything. It was the strangest service I have ever had. Not sure what was up with the place, but I do not recommend the food at all. There are so many better places that are cheaper. As for the service.........maybe it is a better option to stay home or call in sick if you really don´t feel like working.

Just to comment on your reply. We would have loved to give you feedback on the spot, but we were barely acknowledged while we were there. We debated giving you feedback, but as I mentioned no one asked anything about the food, and we did linger there for a few minutes waiting. Further more most "mathöll" places everywhere I have been, Reykjavik, Selfoss......if you already sit at the counter where you have chairs, they serve you there. Hopefully if I revisit things will have changed by you, and the people working there actually seem to like their jobs.

Despite the price being quite high. (4200 for 3 tacos and a soda.) The food is solid. I had the pescado and gambas tacos. The fish was fresh, tasty and perfectly cooked. Shrimp the same. Really tasty toppings and the salsa verde was flavorful and not too spicy. Probably best restaurant taco’s I’ve had in Iceland. As for the atmo. Iðunn mathöll is a food court in a mall but of hey manage to keep it quite cozy, at least in the evening when there are no shoppers in the mall. 4/5 very nice 🌮

would not recommend this place. Prices are very high. I had a burrito, No flavor whats so ever. Soggy and oily and the consistency wasn't on point. Wet and full of oil on the plate. Service was unpleasent and felt like the employee didnt enjoy her work and her customers. would not visit again sorry.

The meat which was almost non of, tasted like cold wet cat food.
Girl was really polite tho.
