We stayed in the annex with private bath. It was a nice, big enough room, very quiet, with a comfortable sitting area. But the beds with a bit bouncy mattress tilting to one side was not very comfortable. There was a very small kitchenette for basic breakfast needs. However, there were only 2 little spoons, 1 knife, 2 glasses and 2 cups, but no plates and nothing to clean up provided. We bought paper towels to eat on them and for clean up. Using the kitchen in the main house was an option, but inconvenient walking over in the pounding rain, taking the shoes off, and also busy with people in the main house. We were charged for 3 expensive breakfasts in a restaurant nearby we had not booked, but the money was reimbursed the next day after my complain. The small shower was remarkably well designed, but the sink in the bathroom was so small, I could not wash my face without getting my feet wet. We had only one hand towel for 2 people, fine for 1 night, but we stayed 3.  The hot water was highly sulfured, got used to it while showering, but bad for toothbrushing.  We liked the location with restaurant options in walking distance, and convenient for a day trip to Borgarfjördur Eystri to see the nesting Puffins, and a drive around lake Lagarflijot.

Room again clean tidy and well equipped, only had single beds but they were comfortable and as for 1 night was not an issue, the room we had did have an ensuite which was clean with fresh towels and toiletries. The room was equipped with a mini fridge and microwave with table and 2 chairs. Although breakfast was not provided on site it was provided at an American style dinner a short 2 min walk away. The food there was cooked fresh to order

Der Besitzer war freundlich und zeigte uns gleich unser Zimmer und die anderen Räumlichkeiten. Alles war sauber und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Unser Zimmer war sehr groß, mit Tisch und Stühlen, Kühlschrank, TV, bequemen Betten. Ein Blick durchs Fenster ging auf die Terrasse und zur anderen Seite ins Grüne raus, gefiel uns gut. Das Bad mit Dusche u. WC war geräumig und zusätzlich gab es noch ein seperates WC, man kam sich also nicht so schnell in die Quere. Das Frühstück war klein aber fein, wir haben nichts zusätzlich gebraucht. Wir können das Gasthaus weiterempfehlen.

This place is easy to find, especially with it being painted in bright pastel colour. Check in was simple. The room is clean, well furnished and stocked with all basic amenities for a night's stay. The twin beds were comfortable.||||This place is also well located within easy reach to the town's shops, restaurants and other services.||||We had a quiet room facing the pretty backyard with a multi tiered deck and large trees beyond. The view from the window in the morning was made much prettier with the snow fall and snow covered deck!

wir waren für eine Nacht auf der Durchreise im Birta Guesthouse in einem Nebengebäude untergebracht. Auf dem Zimmer gab es Haartrockner, Kühlschrank, Tee und Instantkaffee, Milch und einen Wasserkocher. ||Es war alles noch sehr neu und sauber, die Betten sehr kuschlig.||Wir durften auch die gut ausgestattete Küche im Haupthaus mitbenutzen, wo ebenfalls Kaffeepads und Tee kostenlos zur Verfügung stand. ||Eine Reisebekanntschaft war auch sehr angetan und zeigte uns sein Zimmer und die Bäder. Auch dort alles geschmackvoll, geräumig und gemütlich.

We stayed here one night in one of the annex rooms. There are 2 annex rooms in a separate building, but they still have access to the house itself for the kitchen and common areas. The annex rooms each have there own bathroom (if you stay in the house itself the bathrooms are shared) and also a refrigerator and microwave. The room itself was large and clean. The room did have a TV but only with limited channels (not a big deal for us but may be for others.) There was also a binder on the table with the WiFi password and lots of information about the area and activity and restaurant recommendations, which were very helpful! All in all a nice place to rest for the night and in a great town too!

Camere grandi nella media, c'è possibilità di avere colazione "al sacco" pagando un extra, altrimenti c'è una cucina a disposizione. La comunicazione con il titolare è davvero buona. Come del resto anche nelle altre sistemazioni islandesi, la pulizia delle stanze e degli spazi comuni (bagni compresi) è davvero soddisfacente

Questa guesthouse è davvero deliziosa; la nostra camera era grande e dotata di tutti i confort, i due grandi bagni al pian terreno pulitissimi. ||||Come tutte le guesthouse da la possibilità di utilizzare l'attrezzata cucina.||||Noi pur essendoci fermati solo per una notte ci siamo trovati davvero bene, in estate probabilmente è una tappa ideale per fare tante escursioni in zona, noi essendoci stati in inverno, l'abbiamo comunque trovata comodissima come tappa intermedia.
