Easy to find location, off the main road.
We were warmly welcomed by a lady, very friendly and willing to help in any way she could.
Good comfort, friendly staff, very well located.
Parking right at the door.
Friendly atmosphere
One day when I return to this country, this accommodation will be my favorite.
I even got bread as a gift.

I’m not sure where to start with this review. I’m assuming this is a family run business, which always makes it harder to write a bad review, but I feel compelled to do so, so that others will know what to expect. We were originally planning on having dinner at this guesthouse as we had read all the wonderful review about the restaurant attached, but thankfully we decided to have dinner before we arrived as the attached restaurant and common area was non existent! The reception, common area and restaurant was like a ghost town! Everything was completely closed, lights out and never opened for the three nights we were there! We briefly met the owner (we think)on arrival and never saw him,or anyone else for that matter, for our entire stay! Very disappointing as this is a very remote area with very few dining options to choose from, and all other locations we had stayed at on our trip had a home away from home atmosphere, but not this one!!
Breakfast not included, but when I asked as the owner was walking away, he stated a tray of cold meat and bread could be delivered to the room, which we declined.
Finally, the rooms! We expected the room to be small and it was, but the cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired! The bathroom had a stale urine odor and basically everything in need of maintenance. Cracked glass in our window which was extremely hard to open. The beds were NOT comfortable with super thin mattress and pillows. All beds in hotels/guesthouses in Iceland were single beds pushed together in our experience. When my husband pulled back the sheets on his bed, it was obvious, if you know what I mean, that the sheets had not been changed from the previous resident!! Gross! We eventually found a phone # for the owner on our booking email( as we had not been given any point of contact) and he came to our room with fresh sheets,claiming that the stains were caused by bleach! I don’t think so! There are other things to say, but I’ll finish. I feel I’ve got my view on this establishment across. For the cost, the owner needs to rethinks how he runs his guesthouse in so many ways.

We had a wonderful stay in this guesthouse and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay! The hosts were lovely and kind, making sure all our needs were met, the rooms were incredibly comfy and the views were phenomenal. I’ve travelled all around Iceland a few times and this is now one of my favourite places to stay! I hope to be back soon, thank you!!

Dit verblijf was geweldig!!! Ruime kamer met badkamer en de gezamelijke ruimte was groot en goed voorzien.
Het ontbijt, niet inbegrepen bij de kamer prijs, was zeer uitgebreid en we hebben er twee keer van kunnen eten.

Lovely cozy guesthouse right at the entrance to the Westfjords. Krilla and Nils are perfect hosts and made us feel right at home. Breathtaking views right out of the windows. Great stay at a great price!

Really pleased to have found this peaceful and cosy guesthouse. Ideal base for visiting West Fjords. The rooms are very comfortable, well equipped and warm. The power shower in our room was fantastic! There’s a restaurant on-site serving great pub food. The hosts are really lovely. We’d love to return on our next trip to Iceland.
