We arrived to the hotel late and couldn’t find the hotel entrance. To avoid anyone else having the same issue if you arrive late, plug in Cafe Loki to get to the hotel and the hotel will be on the right (if you are facing the cafe with the church behind you) there will be a half fence that’s white a few houses down from the cafe and that is the entrance.

If you come during regular business hours you are able to use your gps and enter through the Vietnamese restaurant.

The room was a great value based on accessibility to all the sites that we wanted to see. We had everything we needed in the room including a kitchenette complete with fridge, microwave, and kettle. Plates, utensils, and cups are provided so, you are able to save a bit of money if you brought food with you to Iceland. We brought oatmeal for our breakfast while we stayed here and had to take turns using the one bowl but, I wouldn’t complain about the bowl.

I will complain about the well water smell and the drain taking forever to drain but, there was a window in the bathroom that we cracked open to get the sulfur smell out of the bathroom. They do have shower gel in the shower and ample toilet paper.

Overall, this hotel is on an excellent location, is affordable, clean, and warm. I would stay here again now that I know exactly what to expect.

L'hotel ha cancellato la nostra prenotazione per overbooking il giorno stesso dell arrivo, circa 2 ore prima del check in previsto (ore 15.00), constingendoci a cercare una nuova struttura. Booking.com ha rimborsato la differenza ma non lo stress di dover cercare un nuovo alloggio.
Visto da fuori molto brutto esteticamente, allo stesso prezzo ci sono altri hotel in buona posizione (es. Hotel fron dove alla fine abbiamo alloggiato).

Great location. I was a bit scared to stay here after reading the reviews but it was fine. We stayed in a triple room and it was clean and the beds were comfortable. Everything was in good working order and it was quiet. The shower was tiny but the only smell was the faint sulfur smell that is normal for hot water in Iceland. The bathroom was a bit run down but was clean.

Finding our way in was easy with the provided instructions and the front desk help was really lovely. We also got after-hours check-in info if we needed.

Dopo che avevamo prenotato e pure pagato in anticipo da due mesi una stanza in questo hotel, a soli 5 giorni dalla data ci hanno cancellato la prenotazione senza addurre nessuna motivazione e nessuna scusa e mettendoci in ovvia difficoltà per trovare un altra soluzione last minute. Attendiamo il rimborso di quanto avevamo versato che di norma viene effettuato in alcune settimane. Evitatelo.

The property is located in a great area but unfortunately that’s where the good news finishes. The guy who ran check in was very helpful, but he couldn’t help our issues. The shower was scolding hot even on the coldest setting, the power sockets were burnt out on both sides of the bed, and the one on the wall was hanging out. We stayed 30 minutes and checked out, a full refund was issued and we stayed somewhere else.

Location is good. The man (didn't interact with the woman) is considerate and helpful. The rooms are dreadful. Tired doesn't cut it - lower than basic, prison cell with fridge and microwave. It would be more acceptable, if I had paid less than half for the night... overpriced for what you get. I cancelled the second night immediately and went elsewhere which I have never done before. And I'm very low maintenance!!!

I booked this hotel accommodation for the great location and cheaper price. The host was great, so kind and welcoming. I was travelling through Iceland with one night in Reykjavik, and I didn’t have a USB power adapter to charge my phone. The host found one and let me use it for the night at no charge. The room for one traveller was small (but that’s expected), but I found it clean, warm and safe with no complaints overall. Thank you for a good stay!

I booked a room at this hotel about 1.5 months prior to checking in. While travelling, I received an email asking what time I’d be checking in, and replied immediately. After travelling for nearly 30 hours from Australia, I arrived at the hotel at 2pm and found the main door locked. I attempted to phone the hotel and also emailed them directly and through my booking with booking.com but didn’t hear anything back until 2:30pm exactly when I received a notification that my booking was canceled and would be refunded, but no other information supplied. Literally 30 minutes prior to check in is pretty poor form, and to give no reason.
Now I see they’re temporarily closed, which makes me wonder what is going on.
