Hópsnes Lighthouse is a short drive from the town of Grindavik. Love the striking orange color! There are also some shipwrecks in the area that were interesting to see.

Disagree that this is nothing special, it’s actually incredibly special. This place is definitely a hidden gem, especially if you love a Wes Anderson type vibe. The trail to get to the lighthouse shows off beautiful landscapes against the crashing waves of the sea. Some areas were dicey to drive on for us in March. Love that it wasn’t touristy and that you can see three shipwrecks along the way!

We were worried about the road driving in a small Kia, but the road was fine. Cute little lighthouse, the ring road around the half-island goes right pass it.

Сам маяк не могу даже и сказать, чем выделяется на фоне остальных, что я видел (приелись, видимо). Эта местность запомнилась мне неожиданным элементом - частями остова корабля Hrafn Sveinbjarnarson III потерпевшего здесь крушение в далёком 1988... Сила стихии!

The drive past the lighthouse was very neat, beautiful landscape even included sheep. Seeing the wrecks and reading the signs about them makes one think about the importance of the lighthouse.
