It’s been over a week since we returned the car after our 10-day road trip around Iceland, and I’m happy to say everything went smoothly from start to finish.

I had booked an MG EHS, but was pleasantly surprised to get a Kia Sportage instead — which turned out to be a great upgrade. The car was in good shape, fairly clean on pickup, and performed really well throughout the 2,350 km (1,470 miles) we drove without any issues.

The only minor downside was that it was a plug-in hybrid, and we didn’t have many opportunities to charge it overnight at our guesthouses. Even so, the average fuel consumption was about 8 l/100 km, which was still good for the trip. The car came with all the features you could ask for — adaptive cruise control, lane assist, heated seats, etc. — definitely not a basic model.

We opted for the cheaper insurance package and took photos at pickup and drop-off just in case, but we had no problems at all. If you treat the car as your own, you shouldn’t either.

取完車後，也會受到一封租車條約，包含車損的紀錄與照片。
還車的方式也很簡單，將車子開回blue car門口，跟著排隊停好車，再將鑰匙繳回櫃檯即可，非常簡便。

Great experience with this rental. We rented a Dacia Duster, 4wd, manual transmission, diesel. Pick up and drop off were extremely easy. We had full coverage so we were able to use the key box pickup which was simple and quick. Highly recommend walking from the terminal to the rental counter instead of taking the shuttle. It is much quicker and only a slightly longer distance. Car had some minor damage when we picked it up and 129km, but we had no issues with it.

As a young tourist I usually face complications and hefty fines for being 21. With Blue car I was able to rent a car that fits 7 people without any extra fees and issues. The car was practically brand new and in mint condition. The check in was perfectly fast and so was the check out.

I can only suggest you get the full insurance as the risks are really there and you don’t have to worry about anything.

Thanks to Blue Car we were able to travel around the country without a single issue and we will be back for another rental at this company anytime we visit Iceland.

I have rented a car in Blue Car Rental for several times and all the times I received excellent service. The pick-up is super convenient - you just walk 5 minutes from the airport (or use free Airport Shuttle) to get to the office. Other rental companies are located outside the airport and you need to wait for the driver to pick you up. Every time I received exact model of the rented car (no "similar" cars as other rental companies do) in excellent condition. I had also a flat tire and the support and guidance were great. When you choose full protection, you have 0 worries and returning the car is super easy. I tried different rental companies, but this one is best. I will only use Blue Car Rental for my next Iceland visits.

In our first day in Iceland we had an issue with a ticket being issued at the airport in the drop off zone which stated 5min free parking. My husband never left the car and didn’t stay 5 minutes (he moved the car). Blue Car Rental NEVER answered our repeated requests for help. Within 2 hours of leaving the drop off zone Blue Car rental hit our credit card with an over $30 USD charge. The fine was $15 but Blue Car Rental fined us the other $15! REALLY? The answer I received for not getting any help from Blue Car Rental was they have so many fines it takes them a while to answer. It appears that fines are a money-maker for this company. So why would they what to help a customer? They might lose money! If you are reading this just avoid this airport and this country. I suggest New Zealand-much better hiking and better weather all around. Also less expensive.
